Buying From a DeveloperMany clients are finding that the latest design of property best suits their needs and due to a lack of supply the client is usually prepared to wait in order to enjoy a standard and quality of a home which fits their criteria more accurately. You can be shown a wide selection of property in construction, often being able to look at a show flat which mirrors the finished item. Or perhaps you can be shown a previous project constructed by the same company in order to help you feel comfortable with their workmanship and finished products. Once the decision has been made as to which one is for you it is important for you to indicate this and to make a Reservation Deposit. This will normally be around €6'000 and is usually paid via a credit card. The deposit can be paid to the Developer directly or via your Lawyer. A receipt will be given for the monies paid. Paying the deposit is the only way to have the property reserved in your name and protect you from losing it to another buyer. It will also protect you from any future price increases to be introduced by the Developer. |
